Data Systems

Our data systems services provide you the systems of engagement and systems of records to meet the goals of you organizations community-focused initiatives, and research faster and more effectively by using a GIS-enabled platform to maximize data sharing, communication, analysis and collaboration. We provide a framework and systems to help your organization openly share geographic information and to collaborate on data development.

Data systems can include the physical infrastructure (servers, portal, etc...) and a framework of technologies, policies, and institutional arrangements that together facilitate the creation, exchange, and use of geospatial data and related resources. In its mature form, a data system provides institutionally sanctioned, automated, means for posting, discovering, evaluating, and exchanging geospatial information by participating information producers and users.

There is a need for users to share data. Vast

resources of information are available today, but the task of finding exactly what you need and understanding the accuracy of what is presented can be challenging. Massive duplication of datasets across organizations is quite common and costly. A community of knowledge workers need a mechanism to effectively create, share, catalog, and discover information and to apply this information in mission-critical applications and a well designed data system provides that.

Data can come from one or many users and we work with clients to decide how much of it will be available for public engagement, assure management, security, and quality standards are met, and that the system is developed so that if it is something changes in the real-world it will be updated on our maps in a timely manner.

Many organizations have aspirations of making communities more livable, sustainable, safer, healthier, economically vibrant, etc. Achieving these goals requires work to be done on real-

-world initiatives, such as creating more affordable housing, improving air quality, and conserving more land.

Effectively tackling initiatives often requires data, knowledge, and action from multiple stakeholders and departments, including members of the community, NGOs, academia, businesses, startups and citizens. Our data systems can provide a place for inter- or intra-organizational collaboration.

A well executed data system provided a technological and conceptual framework for better communications, collaboration, and data-driven decision making on a repeatable basis. As different initiatives arise, more data, maps and apps will get shared through it, analysis skills will be deployed, and the muscle memory of collaboration will be firmly established. Over time, a good data system can make a community increasingly agile and responsive to change.

Data Systems, Prospective Client Application

An initial assessment session will define what services are needed to provide a final product that meets your goals.

We offer our services to nonprofit and for-profit organizations, as well as private clients and governmental entities.

Collaborative Funding

For research centers, faith-based organizations, NGOs, and governments we offer a collaborative fundraising service. We will work with your team to seek additional financial support you may need to cover the costs of map making. Time commitments, additional overhead and conditions are clearly delegated for both parties during an initial assessment session.
